My Top 10 Skincare Products 2020

Top 10 Skincare Products 2020

2020 is coming to an end (rejoice), so it is time to round up my beauty faves from this year. First up is skincare, this took some careful thinking. I sat gazing at all my products to make sure my faves jumped out at me and I didn’t leave any crackers behind.

Many products have graced my face this year. I have whittled it down to a top 10 skincare products that I have loved to a point of repurchase, or products I have recommended or raved about a lot.

In no particular order here, we go. My wall of fame Top 10 Skincare Products of 2020

Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen*

I know I said this is in no particular order, but this has been my most raved about product of 2020, so it is deliberately at my top spot. If I could bathe in liquid collagen I would. I am 33 (well I will be in January 2021) I don’t have many wrinkles. My skin is plump and I have minimal fine lines. I am almost certain its down to this product. I started using at the beginning of the year. I had some frown lines. Only slight but they were there. I didn’t take before photos. I am so bad at them, but I can tell my forehead is smoother and my cheeks are so plump. I use this daily in the morning and its just so instant. The plumping, the hydration, the smoothing. I recommend this to anyone who is contemplating needles. Try this first! You should start to see results within 10 days, maybe even sooner. I did! I could tell instantly. Botox in a bottle (unofficially just my opinion).

Ok the next 9 are in no particular order (I promise) I just had to give the top spot to my absolute fave.

Emma Hardie Moringa Balm*

Ok this is not just my fave of 2020, this is my fave balm cleanser full stop, has been for years! Nothing melts away makeup, dirt and grime from my skin like this balm, even the most stubborn mascaras and red lipsticks. Moringa has your back. I even recommend to those who have got staining on their faces from face paint. I have had this on my daughter’s face and it worked like magic.

Another thing I love about Emma Hardies Moringa Balm is that it smells beautiful and is multipurpose. She can be used as a melting cleanser or an overnight mask to intensely hydrate, rebalance the skin and minimise the appearance of pores. Honesty an absolute dream.

RRP £47.00 100ml

Murad Environmental Shield*

Murad is a new brand to me this year. I have been lucky to collaborate with them and try some of their products. There hasn’t been a product I have disliked, they are a very good all-round skincare brand with a portfolio of products that work. This product in particular stole my heart. I always tell my followers that investing in a good serum will make the best of your skincare routine. This is where my theory resonates. I pair this product with my Algenist Liquid Collagen, and they make a dream duo especially in the morning. A beautiful serum that protects my skin from the elements and also brightens and awakens, leaving me looking fresh faced and wide awake.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant*

Exfoliants can be harsh on the skin and there is such thing as over exfoliating. This in turn damages your skin barrier and makes it angry. However, this gorgeous rice-based powder exfoliant is so, so gentle. Suitable for all and can be used daily. It’s a very light powder that is mixed with water causing no friction or irritation. Dermalogica for me is another brand that can do nothing wrong! Their products are all showstoppers! This will be in my stash as a forever keeper.

RRP £55.00 74g Available HERE

Alphah Balancing Cleanser with Damask Rose*

This is the creamiest and most gentle cleanser ever. The creamy texture melts away makeup, dirt and surface oils whilst its key ingredients of aloe vera and Vitamin E, nourish, hydrate and calm the skin.

Its such a pleasurable product to use and the rose scent is an added bonus to the sensual experience. I especially appreciate this cleanser in the morning. It leaves my face feeling clean and moisturised ready for the rest of my routine. So lush especially if you prefer a non foaming cleanser.

RRP £25.00 185ml

Available in a limited-edition larger size on QVC £39.00 500ml

The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics

The ordinary are fab for basics. That’s basic ingredients, not basic bitches (lol). I also think they are amazing for starting out with skincare or introducing new ingredients to see how your skin takes to them. I absolutely love the formula of this hydrating product. It’s so light weight it feels like water and it absorbs immediately.

The formula is marine derived from water reservoirs that hold water like hyaluronic acid but are much lighter in weight and feel. Its perfect for my skin type (oily) and I love to use before harsher products such as retinol or acids for a boost of hydration.

RRP £5.90 30ml available HERE

Filorga Meso Mask*

This mask literally blew me away from first use. Its unlike anything I have used before and I love it!

It’s a radiance boosting mask with a very thick creamy texture. The mask works in 15 to 30 minutes, smoothing fine lines, boosting luminosity, erasing signs of fatigue and intensely moisturising. It is an instant up lifter and the perfect morning mask treat. I like to wear her in the bath if I am having a weekend selfcare moment.

RRP £44.00 50ml

Fresh Rose Toner

I love a toner, it’s a staple in my routine always. This rose toner by Fresh made with French rose and infused with real rose petals deeply hydrates. The end result softer skin with refined pores.

It was my most favourite toner through the hot summer of 2020, and I have just opened a second bottle to get me through the colder months of having on the central heating that sucks the moisture from our skin. If I ever open a second bottle or repurchase something it is good!

RRP £21.00 100ml & £34.00 250ml

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow

This product for resurfacing and smoothing the skin is fan bloody tastic! It’s a night serum which I use alternate with retinol nights. It does tingle slightly but the honey infusion keeps the skin hydrated and protects it from being irritated. Hands down the best night serum I have tried so far. I always wake up glowy.

Formulated with 14%AHA/BHA Flower Acid for gentle acid exfoliation. Leaving the skin looking bright, youthful and glowy. It works!

Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen*

Go to bed looking like a glazed donut and wake up looking like your best self. I can only describe this as smearing a sweet-scented milky butter onto your skin. It melts as soon as it touches the warmth of your skin and allows you to wake up with plumped, bouncy and rejuvenated skin. Enriched with plant-based collagen, alguronic acid, ceramides, milk thistle and amino acids it has the cocktail of youth.

I rave about this beautiful stuff all the time! Get it on ya face.
