I think I cried actual real tears when Marc Jacobs Beauty announced that they will cease trading in the UK a few years ago. Their Omega Bronzer was my absolute favourite.
Fast forward to 2026 and they have made a comeback by relaunching in Sephora UK! Not only have they made a comeback but they have completely reimagined the brand and started a fresh. The old monochromatic simple, sleek packaging has been redesigned to a fun whimsical, foil balloon pop art style. Fun bright colours and a playful vibe that kind of matches the style and vibe of their perfume bottles. Its very 90’s punk princess and on trend with the viral whimsy quirkiness that Kylie Jenner has recently made ‘cool’ again.
Beauty has been very much Y2K focused recently teaching the young under 30’s about self care through eye catching aesthetic packaging that kind of gives you FOMO if you don’t partake. A very clever marketing strategy.
Personally as a more mature woman now at nearly 39 my honest review is that the packaging, for me, is a bit too childlike and quite bulky, making it hard to store, hard to travel with and feels a little too aimed at younger generations. I feel beauty is ageless and all ages should be catered for. That’s just my opinion.
But ….. the products themselves makes up for the cons IMO of the packaging. There is great pigment payoff, comfortable to wear formulas and fun to wear colours if you like to be adventurous. I also like the shade choices and the product options to.
Marc Jacobs himself is a fun designer that likes to play with colour, metallics, foils and is very much a maximalist. I feel his personality shining through the collection here.
The Marc Jacobs Beauty makeup collection has been kept simple with 7 products across eyes, complexion, skin and lips.
I managed to get my hands on a few pieces prior to launch and here are my thoughts -
I love the Born Star Cream To Powder single pan eyeshadows. This is inline with current makeup preferences were we don’t seem to invest it palettes any more and prefer one shade that we use loyally. The pigment on these is incredible. No Fallout and really easy to blend. A buttery texture with a 14 hour wear.
Available in 12 shades.
The Joystick Balmy Blush is definitely my favourite product of all. A balmy blush stick that super easy to use even with just your finger. Again incredible colour pigment that’s buildable, infused with skincare in ingredients and can also be used on the lips. It has up to 12 hours of hydration and is sweat, heat and humidity proof. Available in 8 gorgeous shades.
The Flashes Volumising Mascara gives instant volume, and does not make the lashes clumpy. I also love that it doesn’t smudge. Adore the lilac packaging of this one to. It has a long wand to grab all the lashes as you pull the product through. Available in black, brown and indigo.
I’m a lip product addict literally so I was always going to adore a new lip product to try. Heart On Care & Color Lipstick. The high shine finish is stunning and has a non sticky and non heavy feel on the lips whilst still delivering an impactful colour! This is available in 18 shades.

Hope you enjoyed my hones review of the brand and happy shopping!
