Valentino in the last couple of years have become one of my favourite fragrance houses, particularly the Born In Roma collection. Every single scent they release becomes an instant fave of mine.

For Autumn 2025 Valentino have launched a brand new Limited Edition fragrance to add to the Born in Roma family. Inspired by the iconic Studio 54™ nightclub. A nightclub that embraces individuality and uniqueness.

Introducing Born In Roma Ivory and let me tell you I have not stopped wearing this beauty since I received her. She is the moment! The scent, the bottle, the aesthetic everything sings to my soul. It really is the perfect fragrance for Autumn/winter especially if you are after a warm vanilla fragrance.

Lets talk about the notes in this beauty.

Family – Floral Amber

Top notes: green mandarin super essence, orange blossom accord

Heart notes: marshmallow accord

Base notes: Madagascar vanilla, musk

My thoughts

Firstly, the packaging is everything! I am very much a beige, neutrals and gold hardware kinda gal, so I feel like this perfume bottle actually represents me as a person lol! I also very much love vanilla fragrance. The scent packs a powerful punch and is lasting, but is also not so overpowering it becomes heady. A really good day/night fragrance especially if you need a scent that’s to last for a long time.

I don’t really get the marshmallow come through just a ever so slight sweetness, but the vanilla, musk and green mandarin are a delight. A very unusual fragrance like nothing I have already in my fragrance wardrobe but also not so unique it would be an acquired taste. I think most vanilla fragrance lovers would adore this!
