Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum Review

I am always curious when a serum becomes impossible to avoid online.

The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum kept popping up everywhere, mostly with people talking about glow, bounce and that fresh K beauty skin finish.

I wanted to know whether it actually did anything useful, or whether it was just another pretty serum with very good TikTok lighting.

So I used it for two weeks, morning and night on most days, and kept the rest of my routine simple.

This is my honest review of the texture, hydration, layering, what PDRN means in skincare and whether I think it is worth trying.

Quick Summary

The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is a lightweight hydrating serum that made my skin look smoother, fresher and more comfortable during my two week test.

It did not transform my skin, and I would not describe it as a repair treatment. But it did make my face look more hydrated, and fine dehydration lines looked a little softer when I used it consistently.

If your skin feels tight, dull or thirsty, I can see why this has become popular.

Why I tried it

My skin was not irritated when I started using this serum. It was just dehydrated and a bit flat.

The kind of skin that looks fine from a distance, then suddenly looks dull and creased as soon as you apply makeup.

I wanted something hydrating that would layer easily and give my skin a fresher look without feeling sticky.

Because it contains PDRN and hyaluronic acid, I was interested to see whether it felt different from a standard hyaluronic acid serum.

What is Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum?

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is a hydrating K beauty serum designed to help skin look plumper, smoother and more refreshed.

The formula combines hyaluronic acid with PDRN. PDRN is a skincare ingredient often talked about in Korean skincare, and it is usually linked with skin support and a healthier looking complexion.

I would be careful not to overclaim what it can do in a home serum. On my skin, the main result was hydration and a smoother looking finish, not dramatic repair.

What does PDRN mean in skincare?

PDRN stands for polydeoxyribonucleotide.

In beauty content, it is often talked about as a skin support ingredient. Some PDRN products are also associated with professional treatments, which is why the ingredient has become so popular.

In this serum, I treated it as part of a hydrating skincare formula rather than expecting treatment level results.

The important question for me was simple: did my skin look better after using it?

For hydration and glow, yes.

Texture and first impressions

The texture is lightweight and gel like.

It spreads easily, sinks in quickly and does not feel heavy. I used two to three drops for my face, sometimes adding a little extra if my skin felt especially dry.

It has a slightly cushiony feel as you apply it, but it did not leave my skin sticky once it settled.

The finish is fresh and hydrated, not shiny.

If you dislike thick serums, this texture is a strong point.

How I used it for two weeks

I used the Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum most mornings and evenings for two weeks.

My routine was:

Cleanser
Toner or mist
Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum
Moisturiser
SPF in the morning

I used it on slightly damp skin because hyaluronic acid serums usually work best for me that way.

I did not introduce any other new serums during the test, so I could judge this one properly.

My two week hydration test

Days 1 to 3

The first thing I noticed was how easily it layered.

It did not pill under moisturiser or SPF, which is always my first test with hydrating serums.

By day three, my skin felt less tight after cleansing and looked a little fresher in the morning.

The result was not dramatic, but it was noticeable enough that I kept reaching for it.

Days 4 to 7

By the end of the first week, my skin looked more hydrated overall.

Fine dehydration lines around my cheeks and mouth looked softer, especially when I used the serum on damp skin and sealed it in with moisturiser.

My makeup also sat better. Foundation looked smoother because my skin did not have that dry, slightly creased look underneath.

Days 8 to 14

By the end of the second week, my skin looked calmer, smoother and more comfortable.

I would not say it changed my skin long term in two weeks. That would be too much. But it did make my face look fresher and more awake while I was using it.

For me, this is the kind of serum that quietly improves how your skin looks day to day rather than giving one huge overnight result.

How it layered under SPF and makeup

This was one of my favourite things about the serum.

It layered well under moisturiser, SPF and makeup. No pilling, no sticky film, no strange rolling when I applied foundation.

I used it under SPF in the morning and it behaved nicely.

If you apply too much, it can feel slightly tacky for a minute, but that settled quickly on my skin.

Who is Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum best for?

I think you will like this if your skin feels dehydrated, tight or dull.

It is especially good if you want a hydrating serum that layers easily and does not feel heavy.

I would look at it if your concerns are:

Dehydrated skin
Fine lines caused by dryness
Dullness
Skin that feels tight after cleansing
Makeup sitting badly over dry patches
Wanting a lightweight K beauty serum

Who might not love it?

You may not love this if you want a serum that feels very active or gives dramatic results.

It is mainly a hydrating serum, so if your main concerns are pigmentation, acne or deeper lines, you may need something more targeted.

If you dislike any tacky feeling, use a smaller amount and apply it to damp skin.

And if your skin is very reactive, I would patch test first. My skin tolerated it well, but everyone’s skin is different.

Anua PDRN Serum vs The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is simpler and more affordable.

It gives straightforward hydration, but on my skin it can feel a little tackier than the Anua serum.

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum feels more elegant and layers better under makeup for me. It also gives a slightly more polished finish.

My simple take:

Choose The Ordinary if you want basic hydration at a lower price.

Choose Anua if you want a lighter, more refined K beauty serum that layers beautifully.

Anua PDRN Serum vs Anua PDRN Glow Pad

These are different products and I would not use them for the same job.

The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is better if you want daily hydration and a smoother looking finish.

The Anua PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pad is better if you like a pad format and want something quick after cleansing.

I prefer the serum when my skin feels dehydrated because I can layer it exactly where I need it.

Is Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Serum worth it?

Yes, if you want a lightweight hydrating serum that feels nicer than a basic hyaluronic acid.

It is not a miracle product, but it is pleasant, easy to layer and made my skin look better hydrated during the test.

With a discount code, it becomes much easier to justify.

FAQs

What is the best Anua discount code right now?

My current Lookfantastic code is LFTFNICOLAL, which gives 20% off eligible products when accepted at checkout.

What does PDRN mean in skincare?

PDRN stands for polydeoxyribonucleotide. In skincare, it is usually talked about as a skin support ingredient, but I would not expect treatment level results from a home serum.

Is Anua PDRN Serum sticky?

It was not sticky on my skin once it settled. If you apply too much, it can feel slightly tacky for a minute, so I would start with two to three drops.

Can you use it under makeup?

Yes. It layered well under moisturiser, SPF and makeup during my test.

Can you use it with retinol?

Yes, I would be comfortable using it in a routine with retinol because it is mainly hydrating. If your skin is irritated, keep your routine simple and patch test first.

Is it good for sensitive skin?

My skin tolerated it well, but I would still patch test if your skin is sensitive or reactive.

Is it better for oily or dry skin?

I think dehydrated skin of most types could enjoy it. Dry skin may want to layer a richer moisturiser on top. Oily skin may like that it feels lightweight.

Does it help with fine lines?

It helped fine dehydration lines look softer on my skin because my face looked more hydrated. I would not expect it to treat deeper lines.

How does it compare to The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid?

The Ordinary is more affordable and straightforward. Anua feels lighter, smoother and better under makeup on my skin.

How is it different from Anua PDRN Glow Pad?

The serum is better for layering and targeted hydration. The Glow Pad is quicker and more convenient if you like a pad format.

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is not a dramatic transformation serum, but it is a very nice hydrating one.

During my two week test, my skin looked fresher, smoother and more comfortable. Fine dehydration lines looked softer, makeup sat better and the texture layered beautifully under the rest of my routine.

For me, this is the kind of product that earns its place by being easy to use every day.

Final rating: 4.6/5
