I have tried a silly number of lip balms.

Some disappear in ten minutes. Some feel waxy. Some look lovely in the pot and do absolutely nothing once my lips are actually dry.

How I used it for 7 nights

My routine was simple:

Cleanse face
Finish skincare

Leave it on overnight

If my lips felt especially flaky, I gently wiped them with a damp flannel first. I did not scrub hard because that usually makes things worse.

In the morning, I removed any leftover product with water and applied my usual lip balm or lipstick.

My 7 night test

Night 1

The first night, it felt very comforting.

My lips still had texture in the morning, but they felt softer and less tight. The mask was still slightly there when I woke up, which I actually liked because it meant it had not disappeared in ten minutes.

Nights 2 to 3

By night three, the flaky areas looked less obvious.

I did not find it messy on my pillow, but I used a thin layer. If you apply loads, that may be different.

Yes, but I would use a tiny amount.

It gives a glossy finish, so it can work nicely over bare lips. I would not apply a thick overnight layer during the day unless my lips were really struggling.

Under lipstick, I would use it earlier, let it sit, then wipe off any excess before applying colour.
