I love a face mist, but I am also quite fussy with them.
Some are basically scented water. Some are too wet and disturb your makeup. Some promise to set your face for hours but only really make you look shiny.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist caught my eye because it looked like the kind of mist that could make makeup look fresher without feeling heavy.
I used it for 7 days before makeup, after makeup and during the day to see whether it actually helped my base look better, whether it felt sticky and whether the cherry scent was too much.
This is my honest review.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist is a fresh, dewy face mist that worked best for me as a makeup refresher.
It helped powder look less flat, made my skin feel a little more comfortable during the day and gave my makeup a softer finish.
I would not call it a serious long wear setting spray. If you need your makeup locked in for a full day, I would still choose something stronger.
But if you want a pretty, dewy mist that makes makeup look fresher, I really enjoyed it.

Why I tried it
My makeup can look a little dry by the afternoon, especially if I have used powder.
I wanted something that could bring the skin back to life without melting my base or making me look greasy.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist sounded like a good one to test because it sits between skincare mist and makeup mist. That can be useful, but only if the spray is fine enough and the finish is wearable.
What is The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist?
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist is a dewy face mist that can be used before makeup, after makeup or during the day.
It is designed to refresh the skin and give makeup a more hydrated looking finish.
I would describe it more as a glow and refresh mist than a strong setting spray. It made my makeup look softer, but I would not rely on it alone for serious long wear.
Texture, mist and scent
The mist feels light and fresh on the skin.
It does not feel oily, but it does leave a dewy finish. If you love matte skin, this is probably not the mist for you.
The spray felt fairly even when I held it far enough away from my face. I used it at arm’s length rather than too close, because spraying too close can leave the skin too wet.
The cherry scent is noticeable at first, but it did not hang around for ages on my skin. I liked it, but fragrance sensitive skin may want to patch test first.
How I used it for 7 days
I tested it in three ways:
Before makeup
After makeup
As a midday refresh
Before makeup, I misted lightly after skincare and before primer.
After makeup, I used it once my base and powder were finished.
During the day, I used one or two sprays when my makeup started to look dry or flat.
I did not use it with lots of other new products because I wanted to judge the mist properly.

My 7 day makeup test
Day 1
On the first day, I used it after finishing my makeup.
It immediately softened the look of powder and made my skin look fresher. The finish was dewy rather than wet once it settled.
I liked it most on my cheeks and around my forehead, where powder can sometimes look a bit flat.
Days 2 to 3
I tried it before makeup next.
It felt nice over skincare, but I did not notice a huge difference to how my foundation applied. It was pleasant, but not essential at this stage.
After makeup, though, it made more sense. It gave my base a softer, less powdery finish.
Days 4 to 5
By the middle of the week, I started using it as a midday refresh.
This is where I liked it most.
My makeup did not look newly applied, but it did look less tired. The mist helped take away that dry, powdery look that can appear after a few hours.
It did not disturb my foundation when I used a light spray and left it alone to settle.
Days 6 to 7
By the end of the week, I knew how I would keep using it.
Not as my main setting spray, but as a dewy finishing mist and touch up product.
It made makeup look prettier, fresher and slightly more skin like. That is enough for me, as long as you know what role it plays.
Does it actually set makeup?
A little, but I would not call it a proper long wear setting spray.
It helped my makeup look smoother and fresher, but it did not give me the same hold as something like Urban Decay All Nighter.
For me, it is better as a finishing mist or refresh mist.
If your main goal is keeping makeup in place through heat, long days or events, I would choose a stronger setting spray.
Is it good for oily skin?
It depends how dewy you like your makeup.
If your skin is oily and you prefer a matte finish, this may be too glowy.
If your skin is oily but your makeup sometimes looks powdery, you could still enjoy it in small amounts. I would only use one light spray and avoid areas that already get shiny.
For dry or normal skin, it makes more obvious sense.
Can you use it over powder?
Yes, and that is probably my favourite way to use it.
It helped powder look less obvious and made my base look softer.
The trick is not to spray too close and not to touch your face while it is settling.
Who is The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist best for?
I think you will like this if you want your makeup to look fresher, softer and more dewy.
It is best for people who enjoy a glow finish rather than matte makeup.
I would look at it if your concerns are:
Powder looking dry
Makeup looking flat by midday
Wanting a dewy finish
Normal or dry skin
A quick makeup refresh
A light cherry scented mist
Who might not love it?
You may not love this if you want a strong setting spray.
It is also not ideal if you dislike scented products or prefer a matte finish.
Very oily skin may find it too glowy unless used carefully.
If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, I would patch test first.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist vs Urban Decay All Nighter
Urban Decay All Nighter is much more of a serious setting spray.
I would choose Urban Decay if I needed my makeup to last through a long day, an event or warm weather.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist is prettier and fresher on the skin, but it is not as long wearing.
My simple take:
Choose Urban Decay if you want hold.
Choose The Beauty Crop if you want glow and refresh.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist vs Fenty Beauty You Mist
Fenty Beauty You Mist feels more like a soft, modern setting and refreshing mist.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist feels fruitier, fresher and more dewy on my skin.
I think Fenty is the better choice if you want something slightly more polished and makeup focused.
I would choose The Beauty Crop if you want a more affordable, fun, glow giving mist.
Is The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist worth it?
Yes, if you want a dewy makeup mist rather than a heavy duty setting spray.
It made my makeup look fresher and helped soften powder, which is exactly how I would use it.
It is not a must have for everyone, but it is a nice product if your makeup often looks dry or flat.

My current Lookfantastic code is LFTFNICOLAL, which gives 20% off eligible products when accepted at checkout.
Is The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist worth it?
Yes, if you want a dewy mist that helps makeup look fresher. It is not the strongest setting spray, but I liked it as a finishing and refresh mist.
Does it set makeup?
It helped my makeup look smoother and less powdery, but I would not rely on it for strong long wear hold.
Is it sticky?
It was not sticky on my skin when I used a light amount and let it settle.
Is it dewy or matte?
Dewy. If you prefer matte skin, this probably is not the best choice.
Does it work for oily skin?
It can, but use it lightly. If your skin gets shiny easily, I would avoid spraying too much through the T zone.
Can you use it before makeup?
Yes. It felt nice before makeup, although I preferred it after makeup or as a midday refresh.
Can you use it over powder?
Yes. This was my favourite way to use it because it made powder look softer and less dry.
How strong is the cherry scent?
It is noticeable at first, but it did not linger strongly on my skin.
How does it compare to Urban Decay All Nighter?
Urban Decay gives stronger hold. The Beauty Crop gives a fresher, more dewy finish.
The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Mist is a fun, fresh makeup mist that works best when you want your base to look softer and more dewy.
It is not a serious long wear setting spray, and I would not use it as my only makeup insurance for an event. But for everyday makeup, powder softening and midday refreshes, I really enjoyed it.
The cherry scent makes it feel playful, the finish is pretty and it did not disturb my base when used lightly.
