To me, Ingenious Ginger smells like fresh ginger, citrus sparkle, creamy florals and warm vanilla.

It has that zingy ginger opening, but it does not stay sharp for long. The floral side comes through quite quickly and gives it a softer, prettier feel.

The vanilla is not sugary or cupcake sweet. It is smooth and creamy, which makes the whole fragrance feel warmer on the skin.

If I had to describe it in one sentence, I would say it smells like drinking a cold ginger drink somewhere sunny while wearing a very expensive white shirt.

Specific, I know. But that is honestly the vibe.

The first spray is bright, fresh and fizzy.

The ginger comes through straight away, but it feels more like fresh ginger beer than dry spice. It has a sparkling quality that makes it feel clean and uplifting without being boring.

Within a few minutes, the sharpness softens and the floral side starts to appear. Magnolia gives it a smooth, slightly creamy feel, while the ginger keeps everything lively.

After around an hour, Ingenious Ginger becomes warmer and more rounded.

The ginger is still there, but it is wrapped in soft florals and vanilla. I get a creamy, lightly tropical feel from it, but not in a coconut sun cream way.

It feels polished. Confident, but not shouty.

This is also when I started getting compliments. The best one was someone saying I smelled like a luxury holiday, which feels very accurate.

How it wears through the day

On my skin, Ingenious Ginger changes in a really lovely way.

After about four hours, it becomes warmer and smoother. The fresh ginger is still there, but the base feels more amber like and soft.

After around eight hours, I could still smell it close to the skin. By then it was more of a spicy vanilla scent with a gentle warmth.

On clothes, it lasted even longer. I could still smell it on a scarf the next day.

For me, the performance is one of the reasons it feels worth the price.

On my skin, I got around 8 to 10 hours of wear.

The projection is strongest in the first few hours, then it settles into a softer scent bubble. It is noticeable, but not overpowering.
